The pattern from Vogue Knitting (VK) Spring/Summer ’09 is called “Tank Top”. Not very inspiring, as with many other VK patterns. Anyway, I shall call it the Metal-lic, given the colour of the yarn I’m using. Still not very exceptional too, haha. Oh well, I’m not getting much inspiration these days anyway.
The pattern begins from bottom up, with a twisted rib. Using twisted rib (knit into the back loop) creates a more distinct ribbing.

This is one of the easiest knits, no-nonsense, simple, knit and purl
sleeveless tank. The pattern does not require much shaping, except for the waist and bust areas, with simple decreases and increases respectively. Remember the knitted bangle I did sometime back? I’m using the same yarn
for this project.
I am on my second skein of Katia Savanna, and look how much yardage just one skein has given. With some perserverence, this should be completed before Chinese New Year in Feburary, I hope. I don’t have much time to knit up any dresses for Chinese New Year, and I am also not intending to shop for new clothes, so perhaps this project, if completed in time, can come in handy.
I’m thinking of pairing it up with black jeans and flats for a simple, causal look.
So its back to more knitting tonight
